Sora by OverDrive: eBooks, Audiobooks, and More

Sora is the app by OverDrive for students and schools. If your school offers Sora, you can now also borrow ebooks, audiobooks, comics, and magazines from the Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD) collection!

To get started:

  1. Go to soraapp.com in a browser on your computer or laptop, or download the Sora app on your tablet or smartphone.
  2. Log in to Sora with your school login, and then add our public library "Santa Clara County Library District" to the app using the hamburger button Hamburger three horizontal bars menu icon. in the top-right corner of the app (find more help here).
  3. You can now switch between the library's collection and your school's collection using the hamburger button menu.

Sora will show you titles for your age group from the library's collection, and you can borrow them with your school ID or library Student eAccount. You will be able to borrow up to a maximum of 10 SCCLD titles at once and place up to 12 titles on hold.
